MICROSOFT SURFACE, IS IT THE FUTURE? OR REALITY

Little did we imagine that in the 2001, that Microsoft’s engineers, during one of their interminable meetings, were not discussing whether Tom Cruise, in the movie “Minority Report”, was a good actor? I am sure that they were breaking their heads, on how they could one day turn fiction into reality: The Touch Computer.

We have lived with touch screens for some time now, lately they are quite popular in restaurants, bars and other places I am sure, much to the relieve of the employees, who have benefited form this advancement in technology, which subsequently, has made their lives a lot easier.

Nevertheless, really what the movie “Minority Report” suggested was how to change completely, the manipulation of information on a screen. The scene from the movie, where Tom Cruise was choosing and moving images on a holographic screen, I am convinced that it has spurred these engineers to dreaming, that one day perhaps, by the year 2060 this could happen. I cannot imagine now, what computers would be like by then. I am sure that is going to be fascinating.

In any case, the “Manipulation of images by Hand” is already being invented by the omnipresent Mr. Bill Gates and Microsoft. Initially with Microsoft Tablet, which has become just as familiar as Windows, although one needs a “pencil” in order for it to obey us, the same happens with the PDAs, they both, only allow you to make one movement at the time.

Microsoft Surface goes even further than that, due to its much improved drive and Bluetooth Technology, allows that the interaction between the user and the computer is much more natural. The use of the digital camera allows loading images, files to the system, just by placing it above.
